Jeffrey Thomas, leader of American Bach Soloists and favored tenor and conductor throughout the United States and around the world, comes to IU-Bloomington to conduct the second American performance of Parnasso in festa by G. F. Handel. In conjunction with his work with the soloists and chorus of the serenade, Thomas leads a vocal master class with members of the IU Historical Performance Institute as part of the Five Friends Masterclass Series, a yearly offering of five masterclasses in memory of five students who died during their degrees at the institution. This event honoring Georgina Joshi.

Mr. Beckemeyer will sing the aria from BWV 75, Die Elenden sollen essen, an aria he last did as part of the Bloomington Bach Cantata Project in September 2018.
