Hear the pillars of late Medieval and early Renaissance polyphony in the opening concert of the Historical Performance Institute's instrumental-vocal consort Concentus. The program will include DuFay's isorhythmic motets, "Nuper rosarum flores" and "Ecclesiae militantis." Also included on the program will be Ciconia motets, Perotin's monumental "Viderunt omnes," and selections by Guillaume de Machaut.
