“A multilayered Mozart masterpiece.”
The New York Times
A slapstick comedy stickin' it to "the man"
The Count takes advantage of people—especially women— because of his status and is trying to add Susanna, his wife’s maid, to the notches on his bedpost. But she wants nothing to do with him and prepares for her wedding to Figaro, the Count’s valet (formerly everyone’s favorite Barber of Seville).
When Figaro discovers the Count’s lascivious intention, he vows revenge and uses his legendary manipulative wit to outdo him, with plenty of subplots—and chaos—in between.
Don’t you love it when people who abuse their power get what they deserve? Me too.
